A Day in Paradise!!

“Byerly Day” was hosted by Steve Crane of Sports LTD at Paradise Lake, CA. Andy and I took a little drive to check out the scene.

Paradise Lakes are man-made, custom built, water ski and wakeboarding lakes that are perfectly flat, all day. Steve teaches classes on wakeboarding and rents a house at Paradise year round. There’s even an airstrip where one can land a private aircraft on the runway that resides between the two lakes.

Scott Byerly and his crew were a really cool, down to earth group. Andy and I had the opportunity of trying out the new Byerly “bi-level” wake skate and it really rode smooth! I found it quite a bit different than my LF Armada. The Bi-Level would really require some time to get it all down, but I found it to be a really great board – I’d love to have one!

We got some really great footage on the trip. We even caught George Daniels killing it on a wake-to-wake kick flip. Nick Heaney had a great session; unfortunately his brother Julz couldn't make it. Scott Byerly did a session and made it look way easy! We also caught a great run with Wes Briscoe! A lot of great riders came out, even a few kids! Overall, it was a great day in Paradise!
